Required to start as soon as possible
Do you want to:
Make a real difference to some of the most vulnerable students in our area?
Express a passion for creative learning and teaching, being allowed the space to develop individuals with a more adaptive curriculum than mainstream?
Work for a high-trust organisation that values relationships and teamwork?
Fieldstone School (formerly School for Inspiring Talents) is keen to appoint a class teacher with a passion for pastoral care to nurture our unique cohort of students; engaging and inspiring them with exceptional learning and teaching that overcomes barriers and sets high expectations.
We are an independent therapeutic day school for pupils aged 5-16 years who have experienced childhood trauma and/or adverse childhood experiences, exhibiting Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties making it difficult for them to flourish within a mainstream setting. We currently have two school sites in Devon (Newton Abbot and Ashburton). This role is based at our Newton Abbot site with our younger students.
You will be proactive, resilient and committed to striving for excellence, putting our students first in every aspect of school life. Our ideal candidate is someone who will understand the relational and therapeutic approach we take in supporting our students, always remaining professionally curious and knowing that behaviour is communication.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic group of colleagues within a growing organisation with the potential for further career opportunities and personal development.
If you would like a telephone call to find out more or to arrange a visit to our school to meet our team and students, this is actively encouraged; please email Sophie Warwick, our Student and Business Admin Lead
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.
