Senior Desktop Building Surveyor
Join our high‑performing Ageas Claims team as a Senior Desktop Building Surveyor, where you’ll be the in‑house technical expert driving smarter decisions, tighter indemnity control, and exceptional scoping accuracy across our Building Repair Network. This is your chance to shape how we deliver industry‑leading repair outcomes for our customers. In this key role, you’ll lead the Desktop Surveying team, setting the standard for technical excellence and ensuring every scope, variation, and final account is completed with precision. You’ll champion Ageas’ scoping philosophy, strengthen compliance across our contractor network, and play a key role in enhancing the performance and integrity of our Building Repair Network.
Responsibilities
* Build strong, trusting relationships with contractors to promote technical standards and best practice.
* Monitor and manage scope accuracy from in‑house BRN contractors to ensure compliance and performance.
* Act as the technical referral point for buildings pathology and scoping queries, supporting accurate and fair cash settlements.
* Support the BRN Operations Manager in improving scoping quality and cost accuracy across the network.
* Monitor fair value for customers and ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
Skills and Experience
* Strong experience in construction methods, industry standards, and pricing.
* Skilled in assessing damage and determining accurate repair, replacement, or reinstatement solutions.
* Background in insurance, financial services, or construction.
* Solid understanding of insurance principles and financial services regulation.
* Professional qualifications (MCIOB, RICS, CILA, or CII) – or working towards them – are desirable.
