We’re hiring a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our engineering team at our modern brewery site in Blandford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer / shift engineer looking for a stable, long-term role with no night shifts, strong benefits, and genuine career development.

What you\'ll do as Shift Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Maintain and repair mechanical systems (steam, compressed air, hydraulics, cooling, water systems)
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards (PSSR, LOLER)
* Complete calibration schedules and regulatory checks
* Support continuous improvement and reduce downtime
* Diagnose faults quickly to maintain production
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS / IT systems
* Promote health & safety best practice on site
The skills and experience you\'ll need – Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer
* Minimum 3 years engineering experience (FMCG, food, beverage, or manufacturing)
* Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of:
o Steam systems
o Hydraulics
o Compressed air
o Cooling systems
o Water systems
* Hands-on skills: welding, fabrication, bench fitting
* Knowledge of engineering compliance (PSSR, LOLER)
* Ability to prioritise maintenance tasks and manage workload
* Good IT skills (MS Office / maintenance systems)
* Team player with a proactive approach
