Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Drainage Strategy Reports for planning submissions.
* Assist with the preparation of drainage strategy drawings
* Assist with hydraulic modelling and drainage calculations
* Support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and calculations for planning applications.
* Contribute to site appraisals, including reviewing flood maps, soil data, and planning constraints.
* Liaise with internal/external project teams and other stakeholders
* Assist with drainage design submissions for planning and discharge of conditions
* Undertake other duties as required to support the engineering teams project delivery
Requirements
* Civil Engineering degree or a related discipline.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good analytical and problem:solving abilities.
* Keen interest in flood risk, drainage, and sustainable development.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable
* Some experience (e.g. through placement or internship) in flood risk or drainage design.
* Experience using Causeway Flow or similar hydraulic modelling software.
