Overview
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals working at Band 5 to join our team. You will provide assessment, treatment and interventions for a high-risk caseload within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, and will work with a range of clinics, hospital and health centres and homes across Torbay and South Devon.
Responsibilities
* Manage and treat a caseload of patients across a variety of locations within the Torbay and South Devon area, providing comprehensive assessment of podiatric need, relevant health education, planned podiatric care packages and referrals to other healthcare professionals as required.
* Provide high standards of treatment and professionalism and develop a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
* Travel around the Torbay and South Devon locality to undertake home visits as required.
* Deliver high-quality care to a caseload across the Torbay and South Devon area and work closely with other community healthcare workers and provider agencies in various settings including community clinics, domiciliary work, care homes, and contribute to the development of the podiatry team.
* Maintain accurate clinical records of all patient consultations and related work in line with Professional Standards and Trust policy.
Working environment and team
Working across 10 locations, the podiatry department comprises 45 clinicians including Head of Service, Team Leads, Specialist Podiatrists, Podiatrists, assistant practitioners and clinical support staff, plus 10 administrative staff.
Qualifications and requirements
* HCPC registration and a degree/diploma in Podiatry; local analgesia administration certificate helpful
* Ability to travel to undertake home visits within the Torbay and South Devon locality
* Commitment to CPD, evidence-based practice and clinical rotation
* Maintain professional registration and comply with departmental policies, procedures and guidelines
* Keep accurate clinical records and participate in mandatory training as required by the Trust
