Test Analyst – Public Sector / Agile / Hybrid – Newport – £35,000 to £45,000 (Permanent) VIQU has partnered with a leading public sector organisation based in Newport to recruit a skilled Test Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative digital team working on critical systems that support public services. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute test strategies, test plans, and scripts across multiple testing phases including functional, regression, integration, and accessibility. Manage and resolve defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes. Take part in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Mentor junior Test Analysts, maintaining consistency and quality across all test activities. Present testing outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Requirements: Degree in IT or equivalent experience, with an advanced software testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Advanced). Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and defect management processes. Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting, and API testing tools. Experience working within the public sector or other complex environments (desirable). Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
