Freshminds is working with a global leader in ship management and marine support services, this company is headquartered in the UK and operates across more than 30 countries. The organisation provides services including technical management, crewing, logistics, and digital solutions through a proprietary platform.
Due to growing demand, the team is seeking support for several market analysis initiatives, including market entry strategy for Japan, exploration of the medical segment within the maritime sector, and a competitor analysis.
Responsibilities
* Analyse the structure, size, and trends of the Japanese maritime industry, covering key segments such as shipping, shipbuilding, ports, and logistics services.
* Identify and map major domestic and international players, their market shares, strategies, and potential entry barriers.
* Conduct research on customer needs, purchasing behaviours, and key decision-makers within the maritime sector.
* Evaluate market entry strategies and growth opportunities to produce a strategic presentation for the Chief Strategy Officer.
Requirements
* 2-3 years of strategy consulting experience at a top-tier firm, Big 4, or boutique consultancy.
* Proven experience in conducting market studies and analyses.
* Maritime industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
Details
* Day rate: £300–£500 (LTD), based on experience.

* Flexible/remote working, with occasional travel to London.
