Senior Quality Engineer

Join Taylor Woodrow as a Senior Quality Engineer and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure works as part of the CP7 rail framework.
This pivotal role ensures that all works meet the highest standards of quality, comply with client requirements, and align with established company processes. You will support the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining robust quality systems, lead audits across the project lifecycle, and mentor junior team members. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex rail projects and champion a culture of “Defect Free” delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain project quality systems in line with company and client requirements.
* Communicate quality standards, expectations, and updates to the wider project team.
* Lead audits of internal processes, design partners, and supply chain organisations.
* Review and evaluate quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
* Prepare project‑specific quality procedures and provide guidance on their implementation.
* Assist in developing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance throughout delivery.
* Manage NCRs and snagging systems, ensuring timely resolution and close‑out of actions.
* Support project handover processes and undertake weekly progress reviews.
* Promote and deliver training on quality requirements and contribute to embedding a “Defect Free” culture.
* Support achievement of sustainability and carbon reduction goals within your work activities.
Person Specification
* Strong background in quality management within construction or rail infrastructure.
* Auditor training and proven experience in conducting audits.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to lead, mentor, and support junior team members.
* Knowledge of BIM Level 2 and its application in infrastructure projects (desirable).
