Responsibilities
of the Architectural Technician:
1. Producing full architectural drawing packages from scratch using AutoCAD
2. Developing, updating and maintaining standard and bespoke house types
3. Supporting projects from planning approval through to construction
4. Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and NHBC standards
5. Coordinating drawings with structural and engineering information
6. Responding to technical queries from site and supporting live projects
Key Requirements of the Architectural Technician
7. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an Architectural Technician (or similar), ideally within housebuilding or residential design
8. Strong AutoCAD proficiency
9. Proven ability to produce detailed drawings independently from concept through to construction
10. Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and NHBC standards
11. Relevant architectural or construction-related qualification
12. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
