Job Introduction

We are looking for a Event Coordinator to join our Rapport team, based in Manchester. You will be part of a large and diverse team that supports our client: a Fortune Global 500 company, where excellence and creativity are the norm every single day.

Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, office based 5 days per week 8-5pm, flexible hours, depending on client and event needs and regional travel will be required.

Main responsibilities

The Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for booking, coordinating, and managing the use of the Meeting Rooms and Event Spaces across all of our Regional Offices. Working closely with the Head of Events the Regional Event Manager will ensure the smooth running of the department and a seamless client journey.

7. Being the first point of contact for our hosts, bookers, and guests
8. Providing a warm and informative welcome, introducing the area and facilities available to key stakeholders
9. Assisting with the coordination and production of all assigned meetings and events
10. Coordinating the planning and delivery of all aspects for an event
11. Taking ownership for each event from the initial enquiry, availability, and dairy management, through to the delivery and follow-up of all bookings
12. Working in partnership with all other service providers to develop and deliver events successfully
13. Overseeing the day-to-day event management for all event activity

The ideal candidate will

15. Ideally, have a minimum of two years of reservations and event organisation experience, with great understanding of event space setup styles
16. Be proficient in business administration, with strong time management and attention to detail
17. Have excellent interpersonal skills on all levels
18. Be able to work both independently, and in a team environment
19. Possess strong Microsoft Office skills
