T2M Resourcing have been retained to recruit a newly created Finance Director for a rapidly growing privately owned company that provide support services. With current turnover of >£15m the Managing Director now needs to recruit a permanent Finance Director to lead a small team ( all things finance!) and provide strategic business support and partnering to the management team. There's lots going on at this company (change is constant) so we need someone who thrives in an environment where you will be very hands-on and thrives in an environment where you can improve finance processes and controls. Managing a newly recruited team you will report to the Managing Director and support the wider leadership through the provision of high quality and timely reporting of financial reports, with responsibilities including: • Preparation of financial and management accountants with supporting analysis • Meeting all statutory reporting and returns requirements ( VAT, corporation tax, PAYE / NI etc) • Lead the budgeting and businesses planning process with regular review and reforecasts • Ensure robust compliance, risk management and controls, e.g. contractor ( (IR35) compliance • Ensure that internal controls and processes are fit for purpose and scalable, developing systems etc. • Cashflow management and forecasting • Management of banking and invoice discounting service provider relations • Oversee all transaction processing ( A/P, A/R, Payroll) functions including team management and development • Annual statutory accounts preparation and external audit control This role presents a great opportunity to further develop you career and grow with the company, potentially getting involved in 3rd party investment at some point in the future. Key skills and experience required include: • Fully qualified accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) • Proven experience at Financial Controller / Director level within a small to medium sized service sector business e.g. Facilities Management, Professional Services, staffing services etc. • Very hands on! Candidates must be able to operate at all levels of the finance process and also be the trusted advisor and business partner to the MD and leadership team. • Passionate about developing processes and people to create a first class finance function • Prior experience of managing external relationships e.g. banks, auditors, HMRC • Happy to be in the office 4 / 5 days a week!
