Requirements
You will have a Social Work Degree, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).
Responsibilities
You will provide a high quality social work service to hospital in-patients to support and facilitate hospital discharge, in accordance with local and national policy and guidance. You will ensure all statutory requirements are met in respect of The Social Work (Scotland) Act, The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act, The National Health Service and Community Care Act and The Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act .
The Individual
You will have proven post-qualifying experience in a social work role, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting and have commitment to social work values/anti-discriminatory practice. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and to work autonomously and have assessment skills. You will have ability to be good team player, have flexible approach and strong sense of social work identity. You will have the ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
