Purpose of the Job
As a Support Worker, you will support and enable individuals with disabilities to live their lives their way, creating opportunities and encouraging participation in service provision. This involves working as part of a team within a flexible rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties.

* Provide practical support to enable people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments, and cooking meals.
* Assist with individual health needs and personal care – attending health appointments, administering medication, and helping individuals with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
* Provide emotional support with empathy, active listening, and offering advice to help individuals make informed decisions and exercise their rights.
* Encourage and empower individuals to express their opinions and share their views in decision-making processes at both individual and organizational levels.
* Maintain accurate records, including personal information, house records, communication books, diaries, food, and expenditure records.
