Job Title: Support Manager

Salary: £28,598 to £31,022 per annum, term time only
Contract: Full time, permanent

Part of a forward thinking multi academy trust, our provision supports children and young people who need a more personalised approach to education. Many of our pupils have social, emotional and mental health needs or communication differences, and thrive in a structured, nurturing environment where relationships come first.

We are looking for someone who already understands how to support pupils through challenge and is ready to guide others to do the same.


The Role

As Support Manager, you will move beyond classroom support into a wider leadership role. You will work alongside senior leaders to coordinate behaviour support, strengthen staff practice and help maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment.

This is a hands on position where your experience truly matters. You will model effective strategies, mentor colleagues and ensure consistent, high quality support across the provision.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead on behaviour, engagement and pupil wellbeing.

* Support the development and delivery of personalised behaviour strategies.

* Ensure consistent routines, expectations and positive relationships.

* Work closely with families and external professionals.

* Contribute to progress reviews and transition planning.

* Mentor and support teaching assistants and support staff.


What We Are Looking For

* Significant experience as a teaching assistant, inclusion mentor or pastoral support professional.

* Confidence in supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

* Emerging leadership skills or experience guiding colleagues informally.

* Strong communication and relationship building skills.

* A calm, resilient and reflective approach.

* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
