Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
A fast‑growing contractor in the solar and renewables sector is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor within a lean, agile commercial team at an early stage of its growth.
* Commercial management of projects from award to final account.
* Prepare and manage applications, valuations, variations and cost reporting.
* Lead subcontract procurement, package placement, valuations and final accounts.
* Drive change control and ensure variations are captured and evidenced.
* Produce monthly forecasts and support cost reporting and governance.
* Support contract administration and commercial risk management.
* Work closely with delivery teams to improve record keeping and protect margin.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure value.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 (DOE)

Quantity Surveyor Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, M&E or a related contracting environment.
* Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, reporting and subcontract management.
* Commercially astute with confident negotiation and stakeholder skills.
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a lean team.
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
