Role and responsibilities:
* Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medication to ensure compliance with legal, operational, and safety protocols.
* Support the dispensing process, ensuring all medications are verified and accurately prepared for patient delivery.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and orders, and report any discrepancies immediately.
* Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
* Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with the pharmacy team to address patient queries and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Skills, experience & Qualifications:
* Hold a level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualifications
* Be a registered Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Have extensive experience in a pharmacy setting with a proven track record in accuracy checking.
* Have strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard procedures.
* Have excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Have outstanding communication skills and a patient-centric approach to service delivery.
