Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

Due to business requirements, we are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Senior Business Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
This role supports the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa, managing existing African FI relationships, and enhancing profitability in line with the Bank’s Risk Appetite, IBFI budget, targets, and global strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Supporting the Relationship Manager in achieving the Department’s Budget.
* Driving the origination of new business, onboarding, and retaining income-generating clients.
* Preparing and delivering credit applications for review by the Credit Risk team, with strong analytical skills and understanding of Financial Statement Analysis.
* Ensuring compliance with KYC and KYB requirements, including full reviews for new clients and ongoing reviews for existing clients.
* Monitoring due dates of Financial Statements and obtaining necessary approvals.
* Preparing limit extension requests and managing system limits.
* Distributing weekly Financial Institutions Limits Reports.
* Handling customer queries efficiently.
* Supporting prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management activities.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience with Financial Institutions, UK Regulatory knowledge, and Credit Analysis.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance.
* Experience in the African market is advantageous.
* French language skills are desirable.
* Knowledge of Moody’s Analytical tools and other Risk Rating tools.
