Job Title: Electrical & Control Design Manager (Supervising Engineer)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Control Design Manager to lead and oversee the full design lifecycle for major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for managing design consultants, ensuring technical quality, and delivering designs that meet programme, cost, constructability, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage design consultants to produce detailed designs that fully comply with project programmes and client contracts, owning the end-to-end design process.
2. Oversee and direct the technical development of designs within your discipline.
3. Prepare, lead, and chair progress and design review meetings with the Client and consultants/designers.
4. Monitor design development, identify efficiencies, and control design growth.
5. Ensure constructability is embedded in design, working closely with operations and delivery teams to guarantee designs are practical and fit for construction.
6. Develop designs that support optimal long-term plant operation, collaborating regularly with both internal and client operations teams.
