Overview
* The Company: Our client is a leading supplier of branded and own non food consumer goods, supplying major UK retailers including grocers and high street retailers. * The Role: We are looking for a hardworking, and passionate National Account Manager or an experienced Retail Buyer to join a successful sales team to help manage the requirements of existing customers whilst also working to develop new business opportunities that have been identified.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing existing portfolio of UK high street and grocery customers.
* Alongside Sales Director, managing individual customer P&L and terms negotiations.
* Regular range reviews to provide data driven feedback and range recommendations.
* Working cross functionally to ensure that key critical path deadlines are met and range launches are successfully executed.
* Playing an active role in product development to help customers meet commercial or environmental targets.
* Identifying and successfully developing new business opportunities with both new and existing customers.
The Person
* A highly motivated and hardworking, service oriented individual with excellent time management.
* You will be detail oriented, a proactive problem solver with a challenger mindset.
To Be Considered For This Role You Should Have
* Either proven national account management experience, having worked with UK grocers and retailers within the non-food consumer goods sector or a successful background in retail buying with a national retailer.
* Understanding and experience in the FOB/importing process.
* Product launch into UK retail market – ‘cradle to grave’.
* P&L understanding and management.
* Ideally have had experience working with manufacturers.
Please note that this position requires a minimum of 3–4 days in an office based in the West Midlands area and a full driving licence is essential criterion.
* Competitive basic salary with excellent bonus; company car/allowance.
