Branch Manager - WareIf you're a decisive, commercially minded leader who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and a hands-on, client-facing role, this is a standout opportunity to run and grow a well-established branch.We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established industrial engineering business with a long-standing reputation, for an experienced Branch Manager to take full ownership of their Hertfordshire operations, in Ware.This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you'll run the branch as your own business-driving performance, developing people, and ensuring contracts are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standard.The RoleYou'll have overall accountability for branch performance, reporting directly to the Operations Director and working closely with them on strategy, operations, and growth. Your remit will span finance, operations, sales, people management, and future expansion.This is a hands-on role-no two days are the same. The right candidate will also be client-facing, promoting the business, building relationships, and driving sales while managing the branch team.Key ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for branch operations, performance reporting, and future planningOwnership of monthly and annual P&L, ensuring margins are maintainedOversight of factory and field operations, ensuring labour and resources are correctly allocatedWorking closely with sales and project teams to deliver contracts efficiently and profitablyManaging internal and external sales activity to secure the right contracts at the right priceEnsuring appropriate plant, transport, and investment are in placeLeading on health & safety, quality, and environmental standardsFull HR responsibility including recruitment, training, development, and performance managementIdentifying and driving opportunities for growth and expansionWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 5 years' experience as a Branch ManagerExperience within engineering, steel, or industrial doorsStrong people leadership skills with a proven ability to build, motivate, and manage teamsHands-on approach with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, varied roleClient-facing skills with the confidence to promote the business and drive salesCommercially astute with solid financial and operational understandingTarget-driven, eager, and motivated to grow the branch and the businessConfident communicator, able to work effectively at all levelsStrong customer relationship skillsFull UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer£65,000-£75,000 per annumCompany car or car allowanceCompany pensionUp to 25 days holiday per yearFull support and backing from an experienced Operations Director
