About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Officer – Asset Manager to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of buildings, plant, equipment, and machinery in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform general maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems
2. Complete planned and reactive maintenance in line with relevant standards and regulations
3. Maintain Asset register, accurate records, documentation, and maintenance logs
4. Operate and maintain essential plant and infrastructure (HVAC, boilers, generators, medical gases, water and security systems)
5. Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation
6. Diagnose faults and carry out first-level repairs on plant, automation systems, and switchboards
7. Monitor and record water treatment systems
8. Use computerised maintenance systems to track and manage work
9. Report faults and issues promptly to relevant supervisors
About You
10. Trade qualification (Fitter, HVAC Cert III, Electrical A Grade, Plumbing or Carpentry)
11. Engineering qualifications (Mechanical, HVAC or Electrical) – desirable
12. Construction White Card and current Victorian Driver’s Licence
13. Experience in facilities maintenance (healthcare, education or hospitality preferred)
14. Strong fault-finding and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
15. Experience with asset management, plant lifecycle and Building Management Systems (BMS)
16. Familiarity with boilers, chillers and air conditioning systems (advantageous)
17. Proficient with computerised maintenance systems
18. Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
