J oiner Social Housing & Public Buildings Derby £17.01 per hour Monday to Friday | 8:00am 4:00pm We are seeking an experienced Joiner to join a busy Property Maintenance / Capital Works team delivering repairs, refurbishments, and new works across housing stock, schools, and public buildings. The Role Carry out general joinery repairs and maintenance of domestic dwellings Install new doors, windows, staircases, and fitted furniture as required Work to NHF Schedule of Rates or similar, updating progress on a PDA or hand-held device Work effectively within a multi-disciplined team Complete job paperwork accurately and maintain records of materials used Support apprentices or trainees when required Liaise with customers, ensuring a professional and friendly service Health, Safety & Professional Standards Comply with all Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices Use PPE appropriately and report hazards or incidents Work with digital systems and new technology Handle confidential information responsibly Adopt a customer first approach at all times Essential Requirements Experience in joinery repairs and maintenance of domestic dwellings Ability to use a PDA or hand-held device to update work progress Strong communication skills and ability to work at all levels of a team Ability to work independently and on own initiative Flexible, can-do approach to working hours Commitment to equal opportunities and diversity in the workplace Full UK driving licence Personal Attributes Reliable, punctual, and professional Able to meet deadlines and targets Self-motivated and proactive Strong customer service mindset
