English, Maths and Science Tutor Opportunity – 1:1, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Prospero Teaching is looking for English, Maths and Science Tutors to deliver bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to secondary-aged young people that are currently without a school placement.
The Opportunity
This English, Maths and Science Tutor role is perfect for someone looking to step away from the classroom and make a difference to the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

We are looking for English, Maths and Science Tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, adopting a creative, flexible, and holistic approach to raise attainment and improve their educational outlook.
Contract/Position Details:
* Location – Within the community or pupils' homes in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole
* Position – English, Maths and Science Tutor
* Start date – ASAP
* Duration – Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
* End date (if applicable) – Ongoing
* Contract type – Temporary
* Full-time/part-time – Part-time (up to 15 hours per week, per student)
* Minimum rate of pay – £20 – £30 per hour
* Hours – Flexible, depending on family schedules
Experience, Training, and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:
* QTS or equivalent
* UK classroom teaching experience
* Creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
* Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility Criteria:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
* Two professional child-related references
