Machine Shop Technician
Location: South Queensferry
Salary: £32,000 DOE (including shift allowance)
Shift Pattern:
* 4 Days: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 – 15:15
* 4 Nights: Monday to Thursday, 20:45 – 06:00
THE ROLE
* Maintain and promote a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
* Operate in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance System and help to improve/develop processes.
* Solve production problems and continuously improve in all areas of operation.
* Structure and prioritise work in a logical and orderly manner to achieve business & personal objectives.
* Work within Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
* Ensure the accurate use of the Time & Attendance systems.
* Respond professionally and innovatively to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring that quality standards are never conceded.
* Be aware, and actively reduce the incident rate, of Non‑Conforming errors within the team.
* Create a “Clean-as-you-go” policy and maintain W.I.P. and stock areas.
* Ensure plant and equipment is maintained safely and fit for purpose, reporting and resolving defects.
* Willingness to be trained in other production areas.
* Adhere to safety, health, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
* Flexible and willing to work additional hours where reasonably required.
* Promote and adhere to the ‘Values in Action’.
* Complete any other duties as deemed reasonable by management.
