Overview
Sellick Partnership is recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer to join a London Local Authority client on a permanent basis. The role requires an experienced criminal litigation lawyer to join a friendly and collaborative team, handling a varied and engaging caseload. The position ideally requires office attendance twice per week, with a preference for full‑time candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned lawyer with local authority background to further develop their skills within a supportive and welcoming team.
Key responsibilities
* Provide support to the Assistant Principal and Principal Lawyer, including mentoring and guiding junior team members
* Carry a varied caseload of Criminal Litigation matters
* Attend licensing committees as required
* Conduct court work in the magistrates' court as required
Experience / qualifications
* Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx, ideally with higher rights)
* Capable of working on a hybrid basis, ideally two days per week in the office
* Experience in criminal litigation from a local authority
