Following Lawhive’s landmark achievement as the first tech company to acquire a law firm, we are now seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join Woodstock Legal Services - our newly acquired law firm based in Poole. Please note this is a hybrid role - successful candidates must be happy to work on site in our Poole office twice per week. About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Legal Accounts Supervisor to help grow our legal cashiering function, with a particular focus on property transactions and completions. You'll ensure compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, manage day-to-day financial operations, and oversee a small team of one to two people. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong grasp of legal finance, particularly within conveyancing-heavy environments, as well as the ability to lead and support a team. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily legal cashiering tasks, including: Processing client and office account receipts and payments Managing a high volume of property transactions and completions end-to-end Bank reconciliations Ensuring transactions are accurate and in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules Ensure all financial processes adhere to internal controls and regulatory standards Liaise with legal teams to coordinate disbursements, completions, and billing queries Monitor client account balances, maintaining financial hygiene by ensuring timely transfers and compliance with rules Produce internal reports and assist with external audits when required Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes within the cashiering function Work closely with Legal Ops, Compliance, and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations Requirements 5 years' experience in legal cashiering, with strong exposure to property transactions and completions Happy to commit to a hybrid working environment, based in our office in Poole, Dorset Excellent working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules Confident managing and supporting a small team Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail Experience using legal accounting software Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience working in a legal tech company or modern law firm UK Benefits: ✈️ 34 Holidays (25 days annual leave your birthday off bank hols in England) Equity (Share Options) Pension ⛳️ Regular team building activities and socials! 20% off legal fees through Lawhive US Benefits: Healthcare benefits: 'Premium' plan with 100% employee cover and 50% dependent cover ✈️ Vacation: 20 days 11 Federal holidays 1 day of Birthday leave 401k: Matching contribution up to 2% of salary Equity: Options in Lawhive LTD
