You are assisting in a DCN replacement project across 70 sites, migrating from the current networks infrastructure to an alternative provider. This includes firewalls, switches, and cellular routers. The consultant will be responsible for producing detailed designs, configuration templates, and operational playbooks to support the rollout. About You Key Responsibilities Analyse current DCN architecture and configurations. Design replacement architecture using: Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto combinations. Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents. Create configuration templates for firewalls, switches, and routers. Develop deployment playbooks for internal teams. Define Bill of Materials (BoM) and licensing requirements. Write operational runbooks for failover, tunnel rekey, and certificate rollover. Define IPsec VPN topology ( FlexVPN or DMVPN), dual-WAN failover, and management plane security. Support zero-touch provisioning Plug-and-Play (PnP) where applicable. Collaborate with internal teams for knowledge transfer and handover documentation. Required Experience Proven experience in multi-site network migrations, ideally Fortinet to Cisco. Deep expertise in Firewalls, Routers, Switches and cellular devices. Strong understanding of IPsec VPN, FlexVPN, DMVPN. Knowledge of zero-touch provisioning, PnP, and template orchestration. Understanding of management plane security, RBAC, AAA. Ability to produce clear, reusable documentation and configuration artefacts. Desirable Skills & Knowledge Demand management, strategic planning, and infrastructure analysis. Information assurance, governance, and quality management. Experience with Fortinet NSE (for comparative analysis). Qualifications Essential: CCNP Security or CCNP Enterprise Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) Desirable: Cisco CyberOps Associate or CCIE Security Fortinet NSE certification Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Delivery of HLD, LLD, and configuration templates within 4- week engagement. Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement in design processes. Quality and completeness of documentation and playbooks. Successful knowledge transfer to internal teams.
