Job Overview
We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Frailty team at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI). The role requires acute and community experience across a variety of medical presentations and a demonstrated ability to assess patients presenting with frailty syndrome.
Responsibilities
* Assess and discharge patients in a timely and appropriate manner as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Provide treatments and advice to patients with complex needs while supporting and referring to community services.
* Participate in the weekday night on‑call rota, weekend shifts and PH working.
* Contribute to service development and influence provision through shared learning with the MDT.
Qualifications & Experience
* Band 6 physiotherapy qualification with relevant NHS experience.
* Proven ability to manage complex patients and frailty presentations.
* Commitment to continuous professional development, supervision and appraisal.
Working arrangements
Starting 1st April 2026, Agenda for Change will reduce the full-time week from 37 to 36 hours with a proportional increase in hourly rate. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata.
