The Governors of Newport High School are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient Pastoral Support Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. We are looking for an exceptional individual to provide high-quality pastoral care, managing the academic and social progress of students.
•Providing support to staff on student pastoral issues. promoting positive student behaviour and wellbeing including providing specific intervention for behaviour support and communicating this support with relevant stakeholders.
•Joining Student support meetings to share relevant information where appropriate. To action any interventions requested at the students support meetings.
•Ensuring attendance registers are up to date and the attendance policy is followed for absent/missing students.
•Completing student voice for the appropriate year groups supported. Collating and reporting the student voice to the line manager and other relevant colleagues.
