Senior Physiotherapist - Ward & Community - Monnow Vale

Salary: £37,898 - £45,637 per year
This is a development opportunity for a senior physiotherapist to join a friendly and supportive team at Monnow Vale Health & Social Care Facility, working on a 21-bedded GP-led rehabilitation and complex discharge ward. The role involves providing physiotherapy services within the ward and extending follow-up services into the community across a large rural area.
The successful candidate will collaborate with nursing staff, healthcare support staff, a ward social worker, an occupational therapist, and a therapy technician. Opportunities for shared training, interdisciplinary working, and professional development are available within this integrated community team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing physiotherapy assessments and interventions for patients with various diagnoses and complex discharge needs.
2. Conducting complex assessments related to moving and handling, specialist seating, and bed positioning.
3. Participating in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and family consultations.
4. Ensuring person-centred care, with a good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and its implications for assessment and intervention.
Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; applications from Welsh and English speakers are equally encouraged.
