About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor to join our People Business Partnering Team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP). This role offers a valuable opportunity to broaden your experience within an ambitious mental health organisation that provides proactive People services across a diverse range of locations and a dedicated staff side.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the go‑to person for managers and colleagues on employment matters and provide compassionate, frontline support for complex disciplinary and grievance issues.
* Manage allocated case work, lead designated projects and support managers through processes ensuring policy understanding.
* Support managers through 121 discussions, utilising HR systems and reporting to analyse and support regular manager meetings.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the People Directorate, Staff Side and the wider organisation to contribute to the overall People Plan and ensure managers meet KPIs.
Qualifications
* Level 5 CIPD qualified (or equivalent) with proven track record of managing ER cases.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices and processes, preferably within a large organisation.
* High standard of written and verbal communication with strict attention to detail and strong Microsoft Office and IT skills.
* Excellent time management skills to meet competing and often changing deadlines.
Working Conditions
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to travel to AWP sites as needed.
