Overview
Senior Care Assistant role at Silvercrest, delivering person-centred care in our home. The role involves leading care within the home, supporting the Care Manager, providing hands-on resident care, building relationships with residents and families, collaborating with care and nursing teams, coordinating activities, monitoring well-being, inspiring the care team, training, and administering medication where trained to do so.
Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in all aspects of care within the home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care outcomes.
* Support the Care Manager with supervision, appraisal, and performance management of the care team, assisting colleagues to achieve their potential.
* Provide hands-on care and support to residents, including assistance with personal care, mobility, and mealtime support.
* Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to ensure a person-centred approach to care.
* Collaborate with the care and nursing teams to ensure high-quality care delivery.
* Assist in the coordination and engagement of activities to promote residents’ well-being.
* Monitor and record residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
* Support and inspire the care team, ensuring all team members attend necessary training and apply the learning in the workplace.
* Administer medication where trained to do so.
* Act in a professional manner at all times with residents, visitors, and staff.

Requirements
* Experience in care, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
* QCF Level 3 or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and support others.
* Energetic, motivated, and caring individual with a positive mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
