Transport Planner
Location: Sheffield
Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Taylor Stevenson is working with a well-established client in Sheffield to recruit an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join their busy operations team.
This role involves coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with both customer and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and route vehicles efficiently to maximise productivity
* Monitor drivers and vehicle movements throughout the day
* Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
* Manage and resolve transport-related issues and delays
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
* Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
* Monitor vehicle availability and schedule maintenance where required
* Ensure PODs and delivery documentation are completed correctly
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role preferred
2. Strong organisational and time management skills
3. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
4. Good geographical knowledge
