Role Description
This is a full-time Fibre Technician position based in Greater London. The Fibre Technician will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various fiber-optic networks for different clients. Day-to-day tasks will include splicing, configuring fiber cables, identifying faults, and ensuring seamless network performance. This is a very hands on role requiring a can do approach and the ability to adapt to any given situation. The role will also involve complying with safety standards and ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Fiber Installation, Fiber Splicing, and Cable Installation
Strong skills in OTDR Testing, Fault Diagnosis, and Troubleshooting of fiber networks
Strong knowledge of Network Configuration.
Experience working with Work Management Systems and the ability to maintain detailed records
Understanding of safety regulations and standards related to fiber-optic installations
Ability to work independently, both on-site and remotely
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in telecommunications is essential, minimum 5 years
Right to work in the UK
Valid UK driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as required
Certs required, NRSWA units 01, SA001, SA002, K008, N23, N27, N28, SA051
