About the Team
The Cloud Operations Team sits within the Operations Function at Softcat and is dedicated to driving excellence in cloud strategy & execution. The team is structured into two dynamic units:
* Cloud Procurement: This team manages the end-to-end procurement of all vendor cloud programs including Marketplace transactions and Microsoft Enterprise Licensing. With a focus on efficiency, compliance, and value, they ensure seamless acquisition and management of cloud solutions that support business innovation.
* Marketplace Cloud Enablement: This team leads the charge in cloud marketplace transformation, aiming to be a market leader by delivering a simple, transparent, and customer‑centric experience. Their mission is to maximize long‑term gross profit from new and existing customers by offering simple and transparent solutions to procure via marketplaces, and supporting the business in providing an online platform where users can manage a wide array of cloud‑based software, services, and solutions.
Your Role
You will sit within the Marketplace Cloud Enablement team where you will work closely with cross‑functional teams with AWS, Microsoft & Google to facilitate Cloud Marketplace transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success of Marketplace by driving engagement with internal sales teams and with customers. Additionally, you will support the wider team with all stakeholder enablement, internal documentation, process improvements, and supporting unmanaged vendors.
What you'll be doing
* Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to drive Cloud Marketplace revenue.
* Understand the AWS partner network and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AWS Marketplace trends and developments.
* Provide proactive and reactive co‑sell support to sellers and hyperscaler teams, including assisting with developing proposals, demos, and other customer‑facing materials.
* Continuously monitor and analyze Cloud Marketplace performance data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Assist Sales and Operations teams with the procurement transaction process from development through distribution reconciliation.
* Support Cloud Marketplace enablement with sellers to ensure greater adoption, acceleration, and growth.
