Reporting lines
* Reporting & working closely with our Ireland-based People Operations Director & our lean & effective people team.
* Our People team is lean. This is not a specialism someone else owns. It is yours to own & drive.
What this looks like in practice;
Onboarding, Offboarding & Employment Changes
* You will own the full employee lifecycle from day one offer through to leaver. (and everything in between
* You will design, run, and continuously improve our onboarding and induction process.
* Every new joiner whether Dublin, UK, USA, gets a smooth, well-prepared start. Right tools. Right access. Right information. From day one.
* Leavers are handled cleanly and completely. Exit interviews done. Documentation in order. Systems updated. Nothing left hanging.
* You will also manage employment changes — promotions, team moves, performance review documentation; keeping everything accurate and on time.
* And you will track the data. Why do people join/ leave. You will bring those insights to the People Operations Director so we keep getting better.
People Operations, Systems & Documentation
You are the custodian of our people data and the engine behind our HR operations
* BambooHR is your domain. Accurate. Audit-ready. Actually useful.
* ClickUp is how we track employment changes and manage workflows across the People team. You will live in it daily. Keep it current. If something is not working, you will flag it and get it fixed.
* People Box is how we capture and manage performance reviews. You will keep it running smoothly and make sure nothing falls through the gaps.
* You own employment documentation end to end, across multiple jurisdictions. Contracts, amendments, compensation letters, benefits, ER documentation. All of it.
* People's reports are yours too. Headcount, turnover, absence. If something looks off in the data, you query it before it goes anywhere. Insights, not just numbers.
* And you will work closely with the People Operations Director to keep improving the systems and processes that underpin everything else. If there is a better way to do something, we want to know.
Employee Relations & Absence Management
* You are the first point of contact for day-to-day employee relations across the business. Performance concerns, grievances, disciplinaries, absence. You handle these independently, with sound judgement and clear documentation.
* Managers rely on you for guidance that is practical and compliant. Straight answers, not policy recitals.
* Absence and statutory leave are managed proactively. You stay on top of cases before they escalatiewe.
* Welfare checks, occupational health referrals, sensitive conversations — you handle all of it with the professionalism and care it deserves.
People Policy, Compliance & Health & Safety
You keep us compliant, as we operate in a regulated industry. You help us stay ahead of it rather than reacting to it.
* You will be our Health & Safety point of contact and will need to attend audits & ensure all H&S issues run smoothly
* Own Health & Safety documentation, risk assessments, and required training across the organisation.
* You will regularly review and update HR policies across our jurisdictions
* Identify risks before they become problems,
* GDPR compliance across all people processes and records sits with you too. In a business operating across Ireland, the UK, the USA, and beyond, this is real multi-jurisdiction work.
Performance & Development Support
* You support the performance review cycle end to end.
* You track probation periods across the business and flag risks early, giving managers the prompt they need to have conversations before they become issues.
* You work closely with the People Operations Director to ensure our performance processes are applied consistently across a distributed workforce.
* You contribute actively to employee wellbeing initiatives across all our locations,
* You support DEI delivery and representation reporting
* You also help embed inclusive practices into how we hire, onboard, and write policy.
What You Bring
* You have a degree in HR, Business, or a related field. Or the experience that amounts to the same thing.
* You have spent at least 4/5years genuinely owning People Operations work, not just supporting it.
* Your employment law knowledge is current and solid; UK & Ireland as a baseline. Bonus if you have worked across USA
* You are fluent in HRIS systems and comfortable with HR technology.
* BambooHR or ClickUp or PeopleBox experience is a bonus. What matters more is that people trust your data, you keep it clean, and we use it to make better decisions.
* You have experience handling a wide range of initial people ops queries independently.
* You also have sound experience & judgement to know how to handle each situation and the documentation needed to back it up.
* We use AI tools actively ( Claude, Perplexity, ChatGPT) to streamline work. (with AI governance/usage guidance in place). We want someone who sees this as an opportunity and runs with
