Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing:
* Dispensing medication accurately and safely in line with protocols
* Checking dispensed items against prescriptions and liaising with prescribers
* Monitoring and ordering stock from suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness
* Receiving and storing deliveries using stock control processes
* Managing prescription forms, including patient declarations and endorsements
* Ensuring medication is delivered or collected within timescales, including Dossett boxes and home deliveries
* Participating in professional development and learning opportunities

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing
Experience
* Experience in a GP Practice dispensing role is desirable
* Experience in pharmacy is useful
* Experience in primary care is beneficial
£12.21 per hour, rising to £12.48 after 6 months probation.
