Senior Building Surveyor
Salary: Up to £70,000 + benefits
I’m working with an award-winning consultancy in Essex who are looking to bring in a Senior Building Surveyor. Their recognition isn’t just historic either — they’ve picked up multiple industry awards this year, showing they’re not living off past glories but continuing to raise the bar in the work they deliver.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor who wants more autonomy and the chance to make a real impact. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of projects, develop client relationships, and play a part in mentoring junior colleagues.
The workload is varied — as Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll be involved in:
* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
* Contract administration
* Dilapidations
* Section 20 works
* Insurance reinstatement assessments
* General building consultancy instructions
What they’re looking for:
* MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
* Broad technical background with proven delivery across commercial and residential projects
* Strong commercial mindset — spotting opportunities, not just delivering projects
* Confidence in building and maintaining client relationships (and ideally bringing some existing contacts)
* Ability to take responsibility for projects and mentor junior surveyors
