Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our Fencing and Trailers division. The ideal candidate will have experience driving Class 2 vehicles and be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to various locations in a safe and timely manner. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fencing projects and trailer deliveries. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 2 vehicles to transport fencing materials, trailers, tools, and equipment to designated job sites. Assist with loading and unloading materials from the vehicle, ensuring correct and secure loading methods to prevent damage during transport. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is in good working order, performing minor maintenance tasks as necessary (checking oil, tire pressure, lights, etc.). Plan and follow the most efficient routes to deliver materials on time, factoring in any potential delays such as road closures or traffic. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs. Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner. Provide a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers or job site personnel. Ensure that deliveries meet customer expectations in terms of quality and timeliness. Adhere to all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies to maintain safety standards and minimize risk. Ensure the vehicle complies with all local and national regulations. On occasion, assist the team on-site with tasks related to fencing and trailer setup when required. Qualifications And Skills Valid Class 2 (C) Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Previous experience in driving a Class 2 vehicle, preferably with experience in transporting large or heavy equipment (fencing materials, trailers, etc.). Ability to lift and carry heavy items, assist with loading and unloading materials, and perform physical tasks related to project support. Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members, customers, and job site personnel. Strong attention to detail in vehicle inspections, delivery logs, and ensuring safe transport of materials. Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to schedules. Knowledge of health and safety practices related to vehicle operation, loading/unloading, and the transportation of equipment.
