The Role:
We are currently looking for an individual to join the night shift cleaning team, where you will be carrying out all aspects of interior and exterior cleaning, which includes duties such as:
1. Hoovering/dusting/sweeping
2. Mopping
3. Sanitizing touch points
4. Cleaning/restocking toilets
5. Cleaning graffiti
6. Changing bins
7. Picking up litter
You will typically be working within a team of four Train Cleaners, plus one Team Leader carrying out heavy and deep cleans on the Northern Rail fleet. This is a very fast paced and intensive role, with on average 20 trains and 55 coaches being cleaned per night, so our client needs someone who can step and be a real team player. Attention to detail is also needed for this role, as you will be cleaning everything inside and outside of public view.
You will be working on a 4 on 4 off/5 on 5 off shift pattern, with alternating working hours of 20:00 – 05:00am and 22:00 – 05:00am.

Pay Rate & Benefits:
The pay rate for the train cleaner position will be at £13.05 per hour on an initial 6-month basis.

Requirements:
8. Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test and attened in Manchester
9. Be able to pass a full railway medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
10. Be able to attend a week of training at Allerton Depot (Liverpool) on 07/07/2025
11. Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
12. Happy to help mentality/attitude
13. A good level of fitness is needed as the site is very large and will involve a lot of walking, so please keep this in mind when applying
