We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst – Supply Chain to join the B&M Finance team here at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.
This is a full-time, permanent, in-office role.
We are looking for someone who will assist and support the operational financial output for our Supply Chain Transport function. This will involve applying data-focused analysis to help ensure efficiency and control costs.
We need someone who is diligent and organised, with an inquisitive approach—someone not afraid to question, challenge, and resolve anomalies. Your background will ideally be within commercial finance, so you’ll have a good understanding of working to deadlines and at pace.
This role is ideal for an ambitious and eager individual looking to progress their career in accountancy, with promotion opportunities available at a fast-paced FTSE 250 retailer.
Key accountabilities include, but are not restricted to:
1. Preparing and analysing the weekly P&L forecast
2. Managing the purchase order processes and liaising with suppliers
3. Assisting with month-end reconciliations, preparing accruals and prepayments
4. Monitoring costs to ensure the business meets financial objectives
5. Proactively reviewing and analysing operational performance of the supply chain versus plan, to support our Supply Chain GMs and Directors
6. Assisting in various ad-hoc analysis projects to identify risks and opportunities in performance, supporting the Commercial Finance Manager
7. Other ad-hoc duties as required
Skills and qualifications required to be successful:
8. Qualified in (or working towards) an accountancy qualification is ideal but not essential
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
10. Great attention to detail and accuracy
11. Experience managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
12. A quick learner who is eager to broaden their knowledge, develop their career, and acquire further qualifications
13. Experience working within Transport would be ideal
