Are you searching for the next step in your pharmacy career? We are looking for an experienced registered pharmacy technician with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Team at University Hospitals Dorset. Training will include: in-house validation, TSET - Aseptic Processing Programme (online), Cleanroom supervisor training (PWDS course), and Pre and in-process checking (PWDS course). This post starts at band 4 and will progress to band 5 upon successful completion of the listed training.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team consisting of Pharmacists, Technicians and Assistants, delivering high-quality care in partnership with a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
* Support the Lead and Deputy Lead Technician in the day-to-day running of the Technical Services aseptic suite, providing a quality, GMP-compliant service and supplying aseptically prepared medicines including clinical trials in a timely manner to all service users.
* Act as a supervisor under the direction of the Deputy Lead Technician in the aseptic suite or its support areas; line manage and act as a role model for junior staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in aseptic services and working within a hospital setting is desirable.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including early/late shifts, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
* Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and in a fast-paced environment to provide a high-quality service.
* Training will be provided as described (in-house validation, TSET online, PWDS courses for Cleanroom supervision and in-process checking).
