Description Your role as Cadet The role will: involve working with Senior Finance Manager, Accountant, and Finance and administration officers, to assist in Daily transactional processing, payroll, prepare financial reports, assist in audits and other task as required be flexible around study/university commitments, potentially between 3-5 days a week with the potential to progress to full time on the completion of university suit someone looking to pursue the Chartered Accountants or equivalent program in the future. Key accountabilities include: Administrative Support: Contribute to general administration, reporting enhancements, and finance-related projects Data Entry and Record-Keeping: Assist Accountant with maintaining accounting systems and contributing to automation and process improvement. This includes posting journal entries, recording expenses, revenue, and updating ledgers. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support Accounts Payable and Receivable including processing invoices, generating payment runs, uploading bank files and reconciling. Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with the Centacare's records. Verifying that recorded transactions match the bank's records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate cash balances. Assisting with Month-End and Year-End Close Processes: Support the Senior Manager Finance to prepare and organise documents needed for month end and year-end financial closing. Generate reports, verify account balances, and prepare necessary adjustments. Payroll: Assist processing timesheets and payroll duties Assisting with Financial Reporting: Prepare preliminary financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, under the supervision of the Senior Manager Finance Why join us? With view for eligibility to enrol in the Chartered Accountant or equivalent program and the commitment to complete your selected program. High level of integrity, maturity and initiative, with the ability handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly. Ability to apply accounting principles to reporting and analysis Clear verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective interaction with employees at all levels. Intermediate computer skills in MS Office suite and ability learn new systems and applications, including finance software. Adaptability to changing circumstances and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment demonstrated in sharing information, supporting team priorities and ensuring open communication.
