Worker Category: Hybrid Worker with County Hall being the main base and point for any travel. A flexible approach is required to work from multiple locations across Leicestershire to meet the service requirements.
Salary: £55,443 - £61,116 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Working Hours: 37 per week with flexibility on pattern to meet the service requirements. The post holder will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends by prior agreement.

About the Role
This role is to lead a diverse portfolio working strategically across a broad range of themes from across the Council. You will be responsible for leading a team of business partners and policy officers and will be required to forge strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
The post holder will require strong leadership skills with a focus on a strategic approach galvanising people and topics together to ensure an effective and efficient approach to deliver high quality and cost-effective outcomes.
The post holder will lead complex pieces of work such as Armed forces, volunteering, neighbourhood planning, social value and others, Council wide.

About You
To apply for this post, you must have experience of:
8. Leading policy and commissioning activity relating to communities, including the implementation and review of the Communities Strategy.
9. The management and oversight of Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) relationships and contracts.
10. Capacity building to enable communities to take on an enhanced role in relation to service delivery partnerships and service devolution and prevention based work.
11. Provide high quality advice to LCC Members (including the relevant Lead Members, Cabinet and Scrutiny) and officers (specifically Corporate Management Team, Department Management Team and corporate boards) through appropriate communication and dialogue.
12. Provide strategic oversight and challenge of all Voluntary and Community Sector contracts commissioned and performance managed by the Service
