We are currently recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Hygiene Team Leader to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Witham.

As the Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all production areas, leading a small team of Hygiene Operatives, and ensuring full compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of Hygiene Operatives during the night shift
* Carry out high‑level cleaning and disinfection of all production areas, including production lines and associated equipment
* Ensure all cleaning is completed to site and customer standards, following detailed cleaning instruction cards
* Manage chemical and consumable stock, including ordering and safe handling in line with COSHH requirements
* Maintain accurate cleaning records and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
* Work collaboratively with production and management teams to identify and resolve hygiene‑related issues
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience overseeing hygiene operations within a food manufacturing or similar production environment
* Strong understanding of hygiene processes, COSHH regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow and implement cleaning schedules
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic education level with the ability to read and understand written instructions
