The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Technicians.
This role is essential in maintaining site safety standards, ensuring compliance with site and industry regulations, and supporting operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Responsibilities include:
1. Taking full responsibility for all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
2. Working closely with Planning & Scheduling teams and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
3. Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
4. Monitoring work progress, raising PRs, organizing resources, and documenting work in the CMMS system.
5. Managing timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
6. Developing job packs, RAMS, and maintenance schedules in collaboration with planners.
7. Contributing to root cause analyses and continuous improvement activities.
8. Ensuring SHEQ standards are met, promoting a safety culture, and reporting incidents and best practices.
9. Supervising external contractors and liaising with OEMs for compliance inspections and maintenance planning.
This role is vital for maintaining equipment performance, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
