Personal Assistant required – Blackburn area LILS/EM/AA
An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a lady to access the local community. Our client is interested in going to the pictures, bowling, shopping, visiting petting farms, possibly travelling further afield to Blackpool sometimes and visiting friends. She also is an animal lover and has 2 ponies of her own so somebody with similar interests would be ideal.
Responsibilities
* Shopping – including budgeting.
* Social support – to include developing social skills, building relationships and accompanying to/from activities.
Qualifications and attributes
* A caring, proactive, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.
* Previous experience in a caring role is desirable but not essential; however experience/knowledge of autism would be ideal.
* A positive attitude and good work ethic is essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A driver with a full clean license is essential including proof of business cover.
Details
Hours to be worked ideally are a full day Thursday from 10/11am – 4pm. The rest of the hours can be worked flexibly. Total hours available are 13hrs per week offering £12.21 per hour.
