Mechanical Fitter I am recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established, innovative engineering manufacturer. This is a practical, hands‑on shop floor role for someone with a strong mechanical background, delivering high‑quality assemblies and machinery builds.

Responsibilities
* Build mechanical components, sub‑systems, and assemblies from engineering drawings
* Assemble modules to tight tolerances, ensuring quality and accuracy
* Strip down and reassemble machinery when required
* Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
* Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
* Work with the team to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
* Have practical experience in mechanical assembly or mechanical fitting roles
* Be able to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
* Have a methodical, hands‑on approach and strong attention to detail
* Be proactive with a positive attitude and good communication skills
* BTEC Level 2, NVQ, or equivalent hands‑on experience is desirable but not essential
