Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a strong background in supervising staff, ensuring that all care plans are effectively implemented. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team while fostering a nurturing environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in senior care.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Facilitate engaging activities that promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
* Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to address concerns and provide updates on care.
* Assist with driving duties as required, ensuring safe transportation for residents when necessary.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes.
Requirements
NVQ level 3
* Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, preferably within a care home setting.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong understanding of individual care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach towards residents.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
