Coppersmith Recruitment is representing a dynamic, forward-thinking law firm seeking a highly capable Litigation Solicitor to join their established team in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated solicitor to handle complex, high-value litigation work with the support of a strong team culture and excellent administrative backing.
The Opportunity
This role has been created following a departure, meaning the successful candidate will inherit a full, active caseload rather than starting from scratch. With around 70-80 files under management at any given time, this is a role for a solicitor who thrives on responsibility and autonomy. The firm\'s litigation practice is known for its city-level work—with some cases valued at £500m+—while maintaining a close-knit, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will enjoy meaningful exposure to high-profile disputes, with an emphasis on commercial and civil litigation.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently manage a busy caseload of 70-80 litigation matters, supported by a dedicated paraplanner/PA.
* Handle a mix of commercial and civil litigation, including high-value disputes.
* Represent clients in County Court and High Court hearings.
* Draft pleadings, statements of case, defences, witness statements, and disclosure bundles.
* Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear, commercially focused legal advice.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service and drive case strategy.
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
What We\'re Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE (open to more experienced candidates).
* Strong background in commercial and civil litigation.
* Confident managing a high-volume caseload and achieving strong outcomes.
* Experience with High Court litigation and complex matters is a strong advantage.
* Excellent drafting, communication, and client-facing skills.
* A commercially aware, proactive solicitor with a passion for delivering quality work.
